Dwight, who IS that old fart??
He||, I'm surprised a guy THAT old could even GET on a bike without the assistance of several people (no doubt out of shot)

(BTW, tell your buddy from me, sweeeet lookin' bike!)

Yep!

But that old retired fart there always seems to have enough energy to go help those yutes stranded out in the middle of nowhere when they run out of gas!

If only you'd been another 1/2hr, we would've been cooked all the way through instead of just 90% ... man that was warm!!

Lucky for us we were wearing black leather and had no shade!

My gf's father recently purchased a '53 panhead with original sidecar, both in very good condition and (with a little carb work) running well. It is a beautiful bike.

Nope! I have to admit it wasn't the Brit who ran out of gas that one warm and sunny day in Arizona, alright!

(nope...but it WAS the Brit who forgot to replace the gas cap on his rented Harley and left it sittin' at a gas station some many many miles back down the road that one warm and sunny day in Arizona, wasn't it FT???!!!)

Oh REALLY, Ray!!! You mean to say that the british gentleman in question here has failed to regale you with a COMPLETE rundown of his latest Great American Southwest Adventure?

Well, I'm sure it just must have slipped his mind, that's all!

But isn't rather ironic that IT TOOK an "old retired fart" who...what was that again?...oh yeah!..."probably needs the assistance of several people in order to climb aboard a vintage Harley-Davidson motorcycle" TO REMEMBER that little portion of the british gentleman's(and of course, his very lovely travel companion, Wendy's) venture in the States? HUH?!

Must be your age mate, I told you about it!
Cost me $19.99 for a new one. Bet that's cheaper than a Triumph one!
The rental place has a price list of stuff and gas caps are on there, must a common numpty mistake!

Reminds me of the '57 Hydraglide I built in the livingroom years ago. Kept it for some 20 years, then traded it off to my #2 kid because L.A. traffic had gotten so bad it was a chore to ride with a foot clutch.

You could have always changed it to the mousetrap clutch setup you know, GB.

(that's what my friend's '54 Pan above has on it...it works pretty well)

Both are sweet bikes I always had a soft spot for the pan and the knuckle but would still trade either for a 37 Speedtwin.
