....and for baiting mosquito traps, it's the CO2 man. Also quite useful keeping sheep samples frozen in transit, but that's another story

I tried it once on a kawasaki tank. It was a very small indentation. Searched the internet and found several ways to do it but nothing worked. I covered the dent with dry ice until the tank was frosted then put a heat gun on it but no go. Another way I read was to heat the dent first then sray an inverted computer duster on it to make it pop. Don't know if this works. After trying to fix the dent I realized the inside was badly rusted. I also had a bad dent in the front fender of my harley. The lone 2x4 in my shed decided to jump on the bike and made a sharp 3" crease in the fender, not breaking the paint. A local dent doctor got the dent out. It was amazing the job he did. Would never know there was ever a dent.

Yeah, my brother gave me a lecture on how it was done. He's now in a wheelchair, but has built more Triumphs, cars and other stuff than I can count.
Wear leather gloves to prevent burns. Use masking tape, and just tape a piece of dry ice over the dent until there's no more ice. Supposedly it shrinks the metal. Mary

Sorry Mary, but I HAVE to ask...Is your brother being in a wheelchair nowdays the result of some dry ice/dent removal process gone bad or what?!
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
