Has anyone used this guy to have their seat modified?

http://greatdaytoride.com

I have sent a couple of e-mails and his website says he responds to e-mail every night. He might be on vacation for all I know, but after a week I was hoping to hear something from him by now.

From the info on his site it appears to be a budget minded approach to modifying the stock seat for my Amercia. I get uncomfortable after about 30 minutes in the saddle. I don't want to spend a lot of money if I don't have to so I can spend it other places on my ride.

Thanks for the assistance.

The guy seems to be legit.
There is even an America in his gallery so he has done one before.
He asks all the correct questions on the order form.
Height, Weight, riding position, etc.
My stock seat gave me butt burn after about an hour of riding. Went the Corbin route and could not be happier.
If this guy were around in '04 I would have given him a shot at the seat mod.

I've used him twice-it's my America in the photo. Could not be more pleased-I sold my Corbin FWIW. He's doing a mod right now for me-always answers in one day. Are you sure your e-mail went thru?
Never met him but IMO Spencer is one heck of a good guy.

I referred a few guys from the Rocket 3 forum to Spencer. You can see for yourself what they say.

Well I wanted to follow up with everyone at BonnevilleAmerica.com about my experience with the owner Spencers Motorcycle Seat Mods, Frank Turnier. I sent a half a dozen e-mails from three different e-mail addresses and left two voice-mail messages trying to contact this individual. Finally, after sending a curt e-mail about his poor customer service practices, he finally responded. He informed me that my original e-mail address was identified as a spammer list, but this response did not address my other e-mails or phone messages. He thought I was trying to copy his seat mod business. I do not want to, nor do I have the free time to strike up a specialty motorcycle modification business like his. I just wanted some information on the materials he used and asked him a few questions about reshaping the back part of a solo seat. I am an engineer and I wanted specifics on the material properties he uses. He could have directed my to his supplier or the actual manufacturer. He did the typical isolationist approach of today's technocrat society and chose to ignore me. What a wonderful business practice that is. All he had to do was pick up the phone and call me. Evidenty that was too demanding for him. Therefore, I plan to inform every biker fried of mine about his poor customer service practices and recommend they don't do business with him. I am also reaching out to everyone on BonnevilleAmerica.com to do the same. It would be easy for me to say whatever, but that is not a character flaw of mine. I am officially finished with my rant.

I need to go for a ride.

Have a good one everybody!!!

Paul, I remember seeing this website a while ago and couldn't remember the name; and I've been wanting to find it again because I'd like to have my seat done. So, thanks for this thread. I can understand your frustration, but looking at his website he looks like a busy guy with a one-man operation.

And here I thought people liked me because I was laid-back!
