Last weekend my uncle mentioned a coupon for $50 off any Garmin GPS at Best Buy. Here.

They also had the Nuvi 200 marked down from $219 or whatever to $149, so adding in the coupon I have a nice $99 GPS. I don't travel much so I don't have a big need for it but if it gets used a few times it will be worth the cost. The in-laws are using it in Chicago this week and love it.

I took it our riding for a bit and it is easy to read and use with gloves on and had all the country roads in the database. I haven't figured out yet how to tell the difference between gravel and paved county roads. I also need to figure out a nice, cheap mount - I had just suctioned it to the speedometer which worked fine (you can still see the speeds and needle tip above the suction cup) but it looked funny...

2007 America, Phantom Black/Sunset Red Deposit down on 2010 Thunderbird - can't wait for it!

I have this mount and it works perfectly. Ive had it now for just short of a year and its still holding strong! Not obtrusive and blends very well. Its even better once you start pricing out some of the RAM and other mounts.
I bought another GPS adaptor so one stays in my car and on stays on the bike.

Ill snap a few pics and post them as the photopost is inop.

I actually have one of the eBay mounts Z made reference to. I bought it about a year ago in anticipation of a Nuvi for the bike, but ended up with a Zumo instead.

Mine is a hard durometer plastic-delrin ball instead of the new design metal ball. Other than that it's the same thing.

Anyway, if you want it for $20.00 shipped it's yours. PM me if interested.

Congrats!
Jim

I also have the older design with the black ball. For $20 Id jump in his offer. Here are some pics all taken from the seated position on the bike.

Ball Mount...notice very little wear. I pop the GPS cradle on and off as needed and adjust it up and down depending on reflections.

Cradle in place.

GPS in place
