Looking for a decent battery tender/charger. Any recommendations or ones to stay away from would be much appreciated.

AutoZone or another parts store will have what you want for 30-40 bucks

I use the Battery Tender Jr. for $35. Works great. Kept my stock battery working fine (6.5 years) until I drained it last week sitting at the Canadian border with the key on. Battery might have been okay still but I was in the middle of a trip and didn't risk getting stranded somewhere less ...populated. The BT should keep the new battery going for much longer than 6.5 years (I only used it on my old battery for the last two winters).

been using battery Tender brand for over 10 years at work and on all toys. Have not purchased a replacement battery since then. Seems to work well.

Thanks all for suggestions. Didn't want to spend too much if I didn't have to.

Whatever you do, avoid the constant current types. If you misread the charts or just forget to turn it off at the right time, they tend to cook your battery.
