Its kinda off the old diabetic diet. They don't make splenda Fluff yet. And I haven't figured out how to do it either.

Well, that kinda depends.. Working nights, I eat "lunch" before I go to work, then I eat "lunch" halfway through work. The first lunch is whatever I can scrounge. The second lunch is prepared and packed by my lovely bride...
Which requires me to relate the lunch from er, Hades that she made for me once.
A tuna fish sandwich on rye bread. A Glad sandwich bag of Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies. A tupperware container of fruit cocktail - in heavy syrup. 2 Reeses chocolate/peanut butter Easter candy bars (eggs?)...
My stomach was never the same after that.

Two big 'ol hamburger patties, cheddar cheese, diet coke. Seventh day of the Atkin's diet, lost 7 pounds so far. Goal: 30lb in 30 days. Biggest problem: After about 12 days I start to hallucinate when I see fresh baked bread.

Bag of Cheetos and a Diet Coke.
...and the trusty OneTouch meter says 233. Not a good choice, I see.

Just got back from having a meal at a local Homecookin' place. Had fried chicken, squash casserole, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, a roll with butter, sweet tea, and chocolate pudding. Mmmm, ready for a nap now

Holy cow that looks good. And all I had were asian noodles. Although, I did have one very yummy monte cristo yesterday.

My chicken wasn't as nice as that. It wasn't bad but it wasn't anything to write home about. The squash casserole was good but my mum has a better recipe. Are those green things on your plate okra? I've never eaten it before. I'm surprised you don't have little pecan pies since you were in GA instead of the ones in the pic (apparently this was a good year for pecans because of last year's drought). I'm guessing they're apple, right?

Greg. How long you lived in the South? The round things are indeed Okra, and the green leaves are turnip greens. The baby pie is a sweet potato pie! Lot's like a pumpkin pie in texture and looks but imho much betterer. Here's a littel creole dish I threw together one night .

Pecans are probably in short supply. I grew up in Warner Robins Ga, just south of Macon. When we moved there in 1977 there were nothing but pecans and peaches between I75 and Warner Robins city limits. Last time i visited the area it was all house farms. Kinda saddened me.

Today lunch is waiting for me down the road at McDonalds, Thats a Scottish name isn't it? Maybe I'll ask the bright young lady if Haggis is on the menue.
