Ok, I'm on my way down my alley today on my way to work when i hit something with my front tire that kicks whatever it is i hit up into what I'm calling the kickstand sensor and now the bike won't stay running in gear because of the fouled up sensor. Anyone know where to get a replacement other than the dealership and a ballpark price?

You could eliminate it for now if you are experienced enough to know to put the stand up with out needing the switch. Either hook the wires together or keep them seperated and taped depending what way that switch works. I'm not sure if it is open or closed when the stand is up.

I figured out how to get it to work by just unhooking the switch at the kick stand but it just hangs there now, guess I'll mess with it tomorrow and if i can't get it running I'll be heading to the dealership. Thanks Dog33.

Turns out the entire bracket had been bent towards the kickstand preventing the switch to fully disengage, a vise grip fixed the problem and saved me 40 bucks!

So, if it fails on the road, do I connect the wires or isolate the wires? Thanks for any input.
