... for the end caps on the grips? is it a star(torx) or a allen. I tried both w/ the sizes i have adn cant seem to get them off. almost stripped one. or do i just get out my trusty E-Z OUT? I hope not. I bought some cool chrome (not bilit) grips w/ the big diamonds on them in the black rubber. thanks!

These bikes're called metric cruisers for a reason - get a set of metric allen keys or you'll just bugger up the bolts with your imperial ones.

I had trouble with the 3mm, so had to use a torque 20 bit with a hand held impact wrench which I tapped lightly with small hammer. The 3mm just tried to strip even tho' it was tapped into place.

Beamer Have read a few posts here due to looking at fitting new grips myself. all the ones i have read have said it was almost impossible to get the end caps off, most have cut them off with a hacksaw (sounds grewsom i know) im not sure but they seem to be glued in pretty tight. Good luck hope it works out ok Safe riding Herb

I don't know about that Herb. My end caps came off without any problems. I think it's all in who put it together at the factory.

The guy who put my left one on, must've been sweating like a pig, cause it was rusted inside and seized very solid!! But it broke off nice and clean!

So I guess my EZ-out referance wasnt to far off the mark then.

wait till you snap off the EZ out in there. Then they get even more fun. I ended up drilling mine out.
