Just checking before I go for a new chain. I see in the tech vault that our bikes use the 525 chain and 112 links.(I have an 04 speedy with 18t front sprocket) Will it make any difference with my 18 tooth front sprocket change? Nothing worse than having to send a chain back that got a little dirty after finding out it doesn't fit and loosing money because of it. Don't ask me how I know.

So, all experience and knowledge expressed, appreciated. Basically, the question is do I go with the 525 and 112 link? or more links?

Is ours an X chain? I've forgotten. thanks

The 112 link 525 x-ring chain works with 16,17,18,or 19 tooth front sprocket. No worries.

I put on a chain from Eddy about a month ago, all went fine. And when I went from 17 to 18 I didn't change anything. Just re-adjusted. You're good to go.

Definitely clean off the shipping grease from the chain and re-lube before use. I didn't and am still cleaning debris fling from my wheel, chainguard, pipes, rear fender...
