Can anyone tell me what diameter a 17" rear wheel would have with say a 180 or 200 tyre?

Biker. No mate. I'm asking about the diameter of 17" wheel with tyre as compared to the stock 15''er. I am considering doing this soon and I just want to see if there will be a difference in final drive ratios.

There would be a HUGE difference in ratios , not so sure it would fit , though .

Wade, I know that it fits I have seen one on this site (Possibly Soulsurvivor) who I'm sure has a 200 tyre on there. Not sure the ratio would change all that much as the 17" sports tyres have a much lower profile than that big bulbous rear that is standard. My little Ducati Has a 18 / 110 rear tyre that is way smaller in over all diameter than the rear on my America. I suppose I need someone with a sports bike with a 17" rear to run a tape measure over it for me

But if you do it right, say maybe with a 12" front wheel, you'll always be going down-hill. Great for fuel economy

The tire manufacturer can give you the ride height of their tire. It depends on the profile and aspect ratio.

All depends on the aspect ratio. In my looking for 16" tires, I noticed that as I went wider, the ratios tended to drop, so the overal diameter of the tire stayed the same. I think Ed's confusion is cause you said wheel diameter, not tire. The wheel's 17", never gonna change

Did that tt600 wheel fit straight up without any mods. Thats a really good, quick alternative to having my back wheel relaced and it allows me to use tubeless tyres

17" x 5.5 standard rear wheels on the Triumph TT600
Now that I like! Is that yours? I bet the rear wheel is 10 pounds lighter than stock.

I believe there is some machine work to be done, look at the rotor and I cannot remember if you have to make spacers or not for it..

What about the wheel itself, bolts right up? Front too?

How about a picture of the complete bike? I think both wheels would look slick on there.
