Need some help..... Here is the situation, I have been experiencing a mysterious rattle from rear of my bike. While riding solo it only happens when I hit larger bumps. While riding 2-up it happens more often, while hitting smaller bumps, or when RPM's are low & the engine vibes are greater. I have Progressives on the rear that have lowered the bike. Could this be the chain guard? Ceuls

Yes it could, it could be the chain hitting the guard. You have to look for scarring under the guard and also where the guard might encounter the lower body of the shock or the sprocket cover. Ian, (The_Dog33) had to relieve the chain guard for clearance when he lowered Wendy's bike so he'd be a good source for advice.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Herm Albright (1876 - 1944)

If you installed a "freak" the chain will hit the tab that sticks out when you hit a bump. if so it must be removed
if life gives you lemons keep them because hey, free lemons.

Thanks for the info. I will check the tab & chain guard for scarring.

I was getting a rattle in my bike after I installed the freak kit and found that the screw that holds the retaining bar for the toolbox was backing off and letting the bar rattle at certain rpms and on bumps.

Check your Bubs for loose baffles. Give them a couple of hits with your hand, sometimes they seem good at the end but if you hit them they rattle.
