To all my fellow Canuckians, enjoy Canada's birthday today! One year older and one year better.

Salute northern neighbors! I had the great good fortune to enjoy many "Canada Day" socials/potlucks at the Dunster Hall in the Frazier Valley, with my BC friend Moki Larry. I need to put it on the calendar again

Wow, congratulations! Can you folks in Canuckianland afford fireworks? Seems the economy is soooo bad, we in the US are cancelling fireworks displays . Cocoa Beach dicided since the tax cuts in Florida got voted in, they can't put on a display for all the tourists that spend their $ there. (even tho Ron Jon's Surf Shop and other businesses spring for most of it!) later, Tom.
But, what do I know?

Tom, we've got more fireworks going on in this area than we know what to do with. We get a double bonus because they've pretty much been going on up and down the riverfront on either the Canadian or U.S. sides for about a week.
Last week Windsor and Detroit put on their show on the Detroit River with the usual million + crowd. Last night we spent at a friends house with fireworks going off their for an hour and when we were done across the river one of the towns on the U.S. side started theirs.
Tonight we've got our town doing some fireworks and I think Thursday night Gibraltor across the river is doing theirs. I love this time of year, beer, bbq, sun and fireworks.

O Canada! Our home and native land! True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise, The True North strong and free!
From far and wide, O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free! O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
