I joined back in March, but due to a series of unfortunate events, I didn't get back to finally say hello. So, "Hello!" As many have said, this is an excellent site with a lot of knowledge and great people. I used BA.com and "that other site" in researching Triumphs. My lovely wife had a lot to do with the final decision, but we bought a beautiful 2007 blue & white America Last June and have not been sorry since. I'm glad to finally be aboard.

She's still stock. I added a tacho, Roadster screen, backrest/luggage rack and dresser bars. I'm still getting my riding kit together. I returned to riding after a 28 year absence and, well... the old gear doesn't fit like it used to. Excellent reason to buy new stuff As funds come available, I'll be doing more to the bike. Dumping the AI comes to mind.

Don't forget to do the "reflector-ectomy" too.

Welcome aboard mike, can I call you Mike? It's not too late to plead ignorance! Have a great ride and keep the woman, sounds like she has common sense!

Most guys don't like the little reflectors that are glued onto the front fork tubes. They remove easily. Funny thing, I actually kinda liked mine. But one of them was gone when I bought the bike used, and instead of buying another and then admitting to it on this site, I just took the other off. You know, peer pressure.

Oh yeah, and welcome to the site, Michael. I'm a die hard fan of chrome and RED, but that blue paint on the 07 is perty!

Yes, "Mike" is fine. Just a habit putting "Michael".
After 35 years, she done her best to keep me straight. She's the one that got me into motorcycling in the first place and encouraged to get back in.

Thank you all for the welcome. I love the bike and realy want to fix her up, but too many mods and not enough money.
And HarvDog, it took me a bit to figure out what a reflector-ectomy was, although I was thinking the rear reflectors. When I installed the backrest/luggage rack, I almost didn't put the reflectors on that came with it.
