Ello all. My 1st post here. I am the proud parent of an new 08 America. Love the bike so far. I traded in my 06 Tiger for the America also a great bike but to dang tall. I miss the power it had but I don't think I would ever go back to the tall beast after riding my America. I have one question though. Has anyone been able to find custome wheels for our bikes? The stockers are not real appealing to me and I would love to be able to change em out for some nice custom ones. Or at least some really good spoke ones. There looks to be a wide selection of wheels for other metric bikes but I have not been able to find anything for the America yet. By the way this sight is great and has a wealth of knowledge. I look forward to hearing from everyone.

Stick around and put a post in the classifieds. you may find sombody here that would like to trade spoked wheels for for yours.
The percentage you're paying is too high-priced
While you're living beyond all your means
And the man in the suit has just bought a new car
From the profit he's made on your dreams

best bet is put a pic up of the wheels you want to swop.. Or just keep your eyes/ears peeled for a set of T Bird sport wheels, they are out there somewhere

I guess I should have been a bit more clear as to what I was looking for. Posting on forums is alot like putting that 1st message on the answering maching. What I am looking for is either a custom mag wheel or an adaptor that will allow me to use a custom mag wheel. Like the ones that you can get for harley's. like some of these www.alteredwheels.com/wheels.htm. The wire wheels are if I can not find an adaptor or a custom wheel for my bike. Thank you everyone for the warm welcome and the quick responces.

First off your link does not work think it may read Wheels. As far as I know nobody makes adapters to fit alternative wheels from Harleys etc..

Welcome Wayne.... There has been much talk off and on for the last couple of years or more about custom wheels for our bikes. Lots of talk of perhaps getting a company to make something up but as of yet nothing happening, our bikes are just too small a fish in the big pond. I have seen alternate wheels on our bikes but it always involves custom machining and adaptations to what we have. In a nutshell, there is no off the shelf setups that can just be bolted on. Anything is possible if you want to put the time and money into it. You could take wheels off, take them or ship them to a custom house and let them know you want the hubs duplicated on a different style wheel. Think you would find out that would be some of the most expensive wheels you could buy... If you don't think a change in your wheels would work, like powdercoating or chroming then your only option that isn't wicked spendy is to put existing Triumph wheels on there. That being said, I see Mert has an ad in classifieds wanting to sell her original spoked America wheels... looks to be a good deal to me, besides, motorsickles should ALWAYS have spokes, hehe.
