Ok, so have you made the switch, or like me need another DTV converter box? After buying one and a better antenna, I'm pleased with the result. But after installing the MIL's I notice a big difference in performance between mfg models. Sylvania the best so far.

later, Tom.

But, what do I know?

I have had digital cable for a couple years, so I dont need to get a dtv. I would like to someday get myself a wide screen tv.

I have DirecTV, have had it since 96 and love it. I just added a 50" Panasonic 1080p Plasma and upgraded the dish/system, WHAT A TREAT!

Digital TV shows the hair on women's faces! Some of those gals need to use a razor! (They don't because they think shaving makes the hair grow back thicker and darker! Duh....)

We've had a digital Mitsubishi 65" for about a year now. Digital over-the-air is not always reliable! At least our set does nicely on rental DVS's. <grin>

Was the question about Direct TV satelite service or Digital TV, I'm so confused

DTV is the over air broadcast of local television, HDTV is the actual hardware would be the way I look at it. I don't pay for cable TV or satellite TV, but have the DTV converter for my analog TV to display Digital TV broadcasts. Free except for the converter box, which has a $40 coupon from the FCC to help with buying. Since the first analog shutoff test earlier this week, finding the converters is nearly impossible. Most converters are in the $49 - $69 range and with the coupon are now $10 - $30 . Just looking to see who will use the converter, how they like them, or will you just go out and buy a new HDTV with a digital tuner...

later, Tom.
