Sorry, it is not a question of 'if' it goes down, it's when.... now you got yours overwith, little harm, little foul...were there witnesses and damage?

Gravel rash, the worst sort as it sticks in them cuts and takes ages to come out or you can go the painful way. Hope there's not too much damage

I've tipped my bike a couple times @ <2 mph!!. Being a slow-learner it happened when wearing my leather-soled cowboy boots. Extremely comfortable for riding, but sometimes like ice skates during critical take-off's & landing's. I realize that the rubber-soled Frye's give a much better "platform". Not that I won't ever wear the cowboy boot again. I did mention I'm not that smart . Ride Safe jh

One of the unwritten laws of motorcycling:
If one takes an embarrassing fall, there shall be a mimimum of 7 onlookers.
Remind me to tell you about the time the Mrs and I just kind keeled over in the parking lot at old Mystic Village.
The percentage you're paying is too high-priced
While you're living beyond all your means
And the man in the suit has just bought a new car
From the profit he's made on your dreams

it's funny how the moved this to riding technique. i really think falling isn't much of a technique....more like a flare.

I have loved gravel in the past. but I gave up that love years ago for the pure lust of laying it down in cinder road pavement. Here in Southeast Iowa, on some back streets, they use a crushed coal cinder mix, I suppose left over from some local factories furnaces. The best part is it is easy to tell how deep to dig the cinders out of the flesh because it is black. Oh, and did I mention that it has the consistency of crushed razors? Ahhhhhhhhh, true love! I've never been able to forget my first time (cause all I have to do is look at the black scars on my right knee!).
