I almost killed some stupid son of a sea cook on a Harley today.
Had to do some stuff that required me to be out in the cage.
I going down Rt 85 I see 2 bikes pull up to a stop sign up ahead. I dont have a stop so I have right of way. I slowed down some anyway. First guy goes. He had time but if it were me I would have waited (no one was behind me). The second guy hesitaited. Then I guess he decided he didnt want me between him and his buddy, So he went for it.Pulled right out in fron of me. I hammered on the brakes, Anti lock my azz. Back brakes locked, back end of Yaris started to kick out to the left. My first instincit was to let off brake and and stear left, but I could not do that becase I would have rammed the moron. Luckily he juiced it just as I decided to correct the skid.(screw him I wasnt gonna roll it).
The dumb child born out of wedlock was just Lucky I was watching him.

Glad everything turned out alright. Not a fair trade to bend a Triumph to save a Harley.

Well no wonder. He didn't see you in that thing. His HD is probably bigger, so he didn't perceive you as a threat

That thought did cross my mind..I dought if I outweighed by more than a few pounds. But at 42 mpg..If the trips more than 20 miles and I cant take the bike. The Chevy sits.

A friend of mine once forgot to put his feet down while stopping to hit on bikini girls along the beachfront road 3 times in a row.

A few weeks ago, I did something stupid on the bike that still weighs on my mind.... I was sitting at a light waiting to make a left turn, with a tractor-trailer in front of me making a right. In the opposite direction, there was an SUV waiting to make a left turn - (same direction as the t-t for the imaginationally impaired.. ). This was in a small town, so the turn for the t-t was rather tight. The SUV let the t-t go first, and as I didn't want to get stuck sitting through another light, as soon as the t-t cleared the intersection and the SUV started his turn, I pulled out and made my left in the opposite direction of them. Unseen and unbeknownst to me, there was a sportbike behind the SUV who also didn't want to get stuck for the next light and he was coming straight across the intersection in typical sportbike fashion.... I goosed it while he nailed the brakes and we narrowly avoided a collision. He probably called me a few choice names and rightfully so. My bad. A real "DOH" moment.

More fun!

That was my whole point in strating this thread..we are not always in the right brother.
look at it this way, you lived through it and gave the guy on the sprotbike a good story to tell his buddies about the A-hole on the cruiser.
I Recently traveled about 5 miles with my right turn signal on.Was carrying my wife at the time. I only noticed it when a guy in a pickup truck started to pull out from a side street(on my right) he stopped and pointed, that incedent bothers me now.Definatly had my head up my butt, could have gotten both me and the OL killed.

I'll try & make this short.I left an establishment that if frequented by motorcycle riders the same time as 2 guys & there wifes (both RUBS)one on a custome chopper & one on a stock Harley of some kind.We ended up together in opposit lanes at a red light before a set of tunnels that lead out of the city.I knew where this was heading even before the light changed. The light changes & we take off (does sound cool to open it up in this 1.5 mile tunnel)I have nothing against going fast but not with your wife on the back and not weaving in & out of traffic at 70+.We get to the end of the tunnel an I meet up with the guy with the chopper at the red light and he said "now thats what I call fun".I said "thats how a lot of you yuppies get hurt riding like ### holes after a few beers. He wanted to fist fight but didnt stop when I pulled over

I drive the Hwy 99 corridor from Sacramento to Stockton every day. The AM commute is before dawn, the PM commute is rush hour. I cringe everytime I see someone on a sport bike split lanes in traffic doing + 70 mph and them doing +90 mph with t shirts and tennis shoes as their protective gear. I don't think this was the intent of the lane splitting laws. I pray I don't blood on the tracks.
All good things come to those who ride.

Very sobering and sad....We (Me and Kimmy) practically watched a guy on a crotch rocket try to beat on coming traffic to make a left turn. Bike broke friction, slid underneath on coming Astro Van, killed the young man...made us both so sick we could hardly eat our dinner...

I vote #1... but that would be #4... so do I vote both?
