So I am finally thinking about getting new grips. I was thinking about the Kuryakyn ISO grips, but everyone has them. Does anyone know if the Kuryakyn flame grips are as comfortable as the ISO grips? What other grips out there will fit our bikes?

Everyone here has a Speedy (or the other one) also, but you still ride that. I love my ISO grips, with the spike on the end also. Very comfortable and sharp. I also have the foot pegs, floorboards and shift lever end and brake pad that match from Kuryakyn. Makes for a very nice clean look. Just my opinion.

I bet a certain camouflage/Hawaiian Tiki style helmet would look just smashing with those flamer grips. Know what I mean Z?

Well if you're not into the whole chrome and tarted up look, the retro Beston GT grips are great, and the price is right too in that ebay auction. Most comfortable grips I've ever had on a motorcycle. Perfect fit for our bikes too. I've had a pair on mine for over 40,000 miles and I even bought an extra pair in case the ebay seller disappears as these aren't easy to find elsewhere. A classic look for a classic bike.

I love the iso's, got em on my America. But like the gent says, the Bestons are very good, I've got them on my 52 Sunbeam.

And I get a TON of compliments on those grips. Such a minor detail, but the old timers pick up on them especially.

Are those the right size (in the ebay link) for the America/Speedmaster: 5 1/4" length, 1" bar? I like them!

Yup, that be the size. You'll notice the throttle size is an 1/8" larger. That's for the throttle sleeve on our bikes.

I put Grip Puppies over my stock grips. They remove ALL the handlebar vibration, and they feel great. They provide a little extra thickness which feels more natural in the hand, and your hand is more relaxed, so hand-strain is completely gone. Easy to install, took 10 minutes. Completely weather-proof. Outstanding, and the price is right. $10, including shipping. Worth a try before you get the expensive grips. Here is the link: http://www.casporttouring.com/store/merchant.mvc?Link will not take you directly to the grips, but does provide a search box, type grip puppies, and away you go.

I personally didnt care for them too much. They just felt really cheap. Like the kind of plastic/rubber felt cheap so as soon as i got them i traded them to a member for the stock grips...ahah

I like those. I didnt see any listed for our bikes. For what bike did you have to order to get ones that fit our bikes?

If I recall correctly I ordered the Honda's. I looked but can't find the original order docs.

Soren, Airguy has the cruise control version of those grips. Really nice, but they felt a little big to me.

Yup, fit like a glove. Had to shave down the throttle sleeve a bit, but all in all a pretty easy install.
