All this talk of jets and pilots and things is so confusing, i have a question, if the carb,s require semi regular balance, what would happen if you linked the vacum ports together would it keep it perfect or just equal.
No. Interestingly enough, the balancing/syncing of the carbs is a mechanical adjustment requiring the carbs to be isolated from each other from a vacume sourse. Once theyre balanced, connecting them together at the vacume port will help them run smoother
The tube connecting them works as a balance tube but only very minor balance, won't eliminate the need to balance once in a while. I haven't done mine in 2 years now though. Balancing ensures that the butterflies open at the same time and the same amount creating the same vacuum on both intakes.
I learned all I need to know about life by killing smart people and eating their brains. Eat right ,Exercise ,Stay fit, Die Anyway!
I made a huge investment in tubing and have crossovers on both front and rear vacuum points. don't know if it makes difference but I out pulled a hyabusa the other day not my fault he was stuck behind a vw van
