I am replacing the stock air filter with the K&N. Is it right that I just leave the top of the airbox off (I think it's called the snorkle?) Thanks!

does that seriously help? Never herd this before. How do you keep the filter snug to the bottom of the box? And what about the open edges?

Oops, sorry for any confusion...the snorkle just fits into the filter retainer ring which you will still want to use, just pull the rubber piece out.
