It was 103 yesterday over here in the Hampton Roads area. The Ride For A Cure rally was still great, but by the time I made it home I was wiped out. Didn't even think of uncovering the bike today, dispite how bad I planned on giving her a bath. Think we got up to at least 101. Holy darn!

On a ride this weekend, I passed by a bank thermometer, it read 118°. Okay, I knew it wasn’t right, but it sure did feel that hot to me!

We've had rain for weeks. Today the sun was out but very windy. Still, it was the first chance I've had to take the bike out and blow the dust off since returning from Arizona. Only put on about 30 miles -- the G.D. wind was driving me nuts. It's supposed to keep raining this week and then jump into the 80s.

Did somebody say "hot"?? US is "funny" that way, east coast/west coast. Blame the jetstream. Like FJ said, clouds finally blew out of here and there was fresh snow on the hills above me this afternoon, Yikes!! Guess I'll be shopping for a Tiger and plug n' play thermal riding gear.

Well its summer east of the Mississippi anyway...ride to cost was great hot but nice,,dont know if it was the heat or the gas prices but didnt seem to be the usual number of SUVs and Massive Pickup trucks out.

Now the ride home was a differnet story ran smack into one nasty freakin thunderstorm (yes hail hurts). And wind like a son of a gun. Had to seek shelter under the awning of a school had to sit there a good 1/2 hour. Then deal with the crap from the trees all the way home.

And i didnt even see one skimpier than average bikini

Rode to my triumph dealer in norfolk,va saturday morning. About 90 miles for me. Not to bad on the ride up. But good god. I hung around to long. They were building a stroker engine for a standard bonnie in the shop. Got caught up in that. By the time I decided to head home. It was like steping off into an oven. My seat had gotten so hot. I had to go back in and get wet towels to try an cool it a bit. Finally made it back home. Flat wasted. Peeled myself off the bike. Striped down to my draw's and hopped in the pool.
I didn't bother with the bike today. It was 103 with a heat index of 114.

Had to return my son to his mother on Saturday. News was calling for 99 degrees. On the slab i'm sure it topped 115. Halfway to Atlanta traffic stopped because a big rig had forced a pickup over the guardrail. I wasn't about to sit still, so I cruised down the shoulder past the 5 mile backup. Even rode past some cops, who didn't bother me. Guess they understood. It was smokin' hot! On the return trip I followed a little nissan pickup and made record time, cruising at 90-110 the whole way. Temps are supposed to cool off a little this week. I hope the weather guys are right!

That old Summertime weather is here in Florida. In the 90's both temp and humidity. Luckily I'm only about 8 miles from the ocean so it cools off at night.

Did 9 hours from N. Georgia to N. Florida yesterday. From about noon on was brutal. Like sitting in front of an open oven. Got home and crashed on the sofa with bike still packed and sitting in the driveway.

Geezus, that sounds like our weather here in Seattle. High of 55 today and we just had snow in the mountain passes. So far, this is the coldest June in Seattle on record, a full 5 degrees colder on average. People around here are calling it Juneuary. LOL
