I have just been looking at Google Earth, and get annoyed by all the photograph icons that seem to obscure every well known object

Is there anyway to turn these off??

For free Google Earth, version 4.2.0205.5730:

- Verify the Sidebar is turned on:
-- (Title Bar) View -> Sidebar

- In the Side Bar, Layers Pane:
-- Deselect (un-check) the Primary Database -> Geographic Web -> Panoramio option
