I'm talking about those 90 degree days when you don't dare ride bare-handed because your skin would crisp. who's got what? I need to find something that isn't black.

Icon blue mesh. Got a full palm, a little padding, plenty of vent.

I am using a Tourmaster make. Mesh sides and top. Good pad on the palm and secure on the wrist. I can't remember the exact name but gloves breath well. Meshtec

http://www.olympiagloves.com/viewgloves.htmlI borrowed a pair to try and the ventilation was pretty good. Very light, too.

These are the ones I use. Very comfortable, allows air flow without sacrificing safety. http://www.olympiagloves.com/glovedetails/734.html Soren

I've had a pair of Fieldsheer gloves the last couple of summers. Gel in the palm and well vented on the backs and fingers; leather, but not really much protection. I just got a pair of the Olympia gloves Soren mentioned, and they're ok in the heat.
Not to hijack, but I have been looking for a vented summer jacket that isn't black (or primarily black). It's hard to find any riding gear that's not dark colored. "Cooling off" to 97 F here today...black is just too steamy.

Cortech has some light colors with good ventilation. I've got a yellow with black trim and the black really heats up. I think I'll go to the light grey.
We usually have 12 days over 100 a year and already we've had 8 and it's not even real summer yet.

I'm kind of partial to full gloves whenever I ride. I just like the protection. Unlined deerskin gloves are pretty comfortable in the warm weather and don't have to cost an arm and a leg. Have found some pretty decent ones at Home Depot and Lowe's. http://www.overstock.com/Clothing/Daxx-P...5/product.html?

I use fingerless gloves in the Summer exclusively...just enough padding in the palm to isolate the hand from vibration and they are comfortable.
Thank God they come as far as I can see only in black.

I bet I could chop the fingers off these babies, maybe just below those heart shaped thingies - Michael Jackson eat your heart out.
Seriously though, thanks for the suggestions. I've seen some gray mesh ones that I'm going to try

I use the Triumph Raptor gloves, at the bottom of this page: http://www.onyertriumph.net/gloves.phpI can't remember what it's like to ride in 90 degree heat, but they're nice and cool in 70+ degree heat once you're doing 20mph+.

I forgot to take my White Mule work gloves recently when I went to help my Dad and brother demolish a house - so I stopped at the local Builder's Supply (Thomas Supply) as I came into Livingston, (Tx), to buy a pair. The White Mules are hard to find, but tougher, I think, than the no-name generics I find in Home Depot's and Lowes....
What I found was a pair of "Deerskin" work gloves that I immediately recognized as ELKSKIN! For $20.00!
Decision made. These things have no wrist closure, but they do have a thick double-layered palm, and man these things are so soft.
I soaked them in water immediately, and worked two days wearing them (soaking them again the next morning, and letting them dry on my hands as I sweated through from the inside) pulling nails from some good lumber we salvaged.
Turns out that is all I wear around here now - and yes, it is GULF-COAST HOT around here - night-time temps rarely dropping out of the 80's and days in the 90's-100's, but I have never once thought these gloves were hot.
If I go on a long-enough ride, I'll soak them through again and let them dry on my hands in the wind - they still retain great grip wet, they are form-fitting beter and better every time, and I may never wear them out! For $20.00! They were obviously "mis-tagged".
I have always wanted a pair of Elkskin Ropers from Aerostich - and still do. I would have ordered black, but I really like these tan work gloves - (they are almost a dirty white now). I have a three different pair of brown or tan boots I wear on the bike, and then I have my Red Wing 980's (black). I also think the Aerostich gloves, with the wrist closure, would be warmer in the heat, too. These are slightly flaired at the cuff, but they aren't coming off unless I pull them off. It is a short cuff, too, by the way.
Before I found these, I would have said the MARSEE SUMMER GLOVE, but they don't make them anymore. Perforated, short cuff, no wrist closure, only elastic (very convenient), waterproof, black, gel-palms - I loved them. Had two pair stolen from my garage - a pair each of the last two Winters, and that's all they got. Go figure.

THAT IS THE EXACT GLOVE, AND THAT IS MY DEALER, TOO. SAME SHOP. BRITISH-USA.
UNFORTUNATELY, MARSEE NO LONGER MAKES THE PRODUCT. THEY MIGHT STILL HAVE ONE PAIR OF XS LADIES GLOVES LEFT.

Any and all deer skin gloves I have ever seen were fairly thin, supple hide.
These gloves are much heavier, thicker than what I know as deer skin. Nice and supple mind you, but the thickness is much heavier gauge and would do well against road rash.

Yep, I just picked up a pair today at the local Triumph dealer. They're perfect for summer, even in the 100 degree Texas heat.
