Ok discussion at work tonight was who (as a goup) was the ugliest band from the rock period between The Beatles first USA appearance and the Disco era.
The Rolling Stones came in first, with Aerosmith running a not so close second.
My question is this....who was and perhaps still is the Ugliest Stone?
The percentage you're paying is too high-priced
While you're living beyond all your means
And the man in the suit has just bought a new car
From the profit he's made on your dreams

Individually they're too close to call. As a group they definitely deserve #1 in the ugly category.

Well the Stones are currently the ugliest of all time. I dont see anyone overtaking them in that category any time in the near future.

The Stones were considered "homely" from day 1. It's probably a factor in their success. They looked dangerous as opposed to the 4 moptop lads from Liverpool.

Okay! Now HERE'S a question for you folks.... Ever since I was a kid and first saw the cover of the Stones' "Between The Buttons" album, I always thought that their drummer Charlie Watts(in the front here) looked just like ALLEY OOP!!!(for those old enough to remember, he was that caveman in the "funny papers") So tell me folks...Is there a resemblance here or WHAT???!!!...it's the mouth, RIGHT???!!!

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Does it have to be a band. Personally, i always thought Janis Joplin was a bit of a double bagger myself. God rest her soul.

Hey, steady on. I always liked Twisted Sister. My mate was in a band who supported Twisted Sister on the UK tour years ago. Being the rock n roll hanger-on i am I got to hang out back stage before and after the show. Dee Snider and Jay Jay French were two of the nicest people i have ever met. Very friendly and extreemily appricative of their fans. Still listen to their albums.
I have a very rare 12inch EP of Twisted Sister 'Live at the Marquee'. Bloody brilliant it is. Though I dont play it to loud. Neighbours have a tendancy to call the police on account of the foul language.

Ian Stewart played piano for the Stones from their start until his death in '85 and was called the "sixth stone". In the early days of the group he was told he was too husky and stout looking too fit the bands image. He remained out of the photos and press releases . Maybe he wasn't ugly enough to be a stone.

I always liked the look of Guzzis. No idea how they ride, though. The name, Stone, was a bad move, though. The Jackal was much better. No idea why they stopped making that one.
