Why, does national "Village People" day fall in there this year?

Are you suggesting that wasn't a costume you had on last year?

Man, would I love to join in on this one. Not too far of a road trip to ride some freaking awesome roads in the fall. Alas, I will be stuck down in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro for two weeks. It's work guys, I'm sure there will be no fun had on my part. I am sure that I'll instead be thinking about riding in Ar-Kansas though.

No problem Dan. They all will be long sleeved. We may need the extra layers on those crisp fall mornings.

Then what size T-shirt do you wear? And don't forget to call Riders Rest motel and make a reservation.

Consider yourself in, Kent. Do you want to order a t-shirt? If so let me know the size. They will be long sleeve with a logo on the front and cost about $16-17.

ARK RALLY '08 DATE CHANGE!!!

Okay guys I am going to make a major change in the date of the Rally. It is now going to be October 24th-26th.
We will have the whole Riders Rest motel. There are 10 rooms 7- with 2 Double beds and 3- with King beds. That will be room for 17 of us if we double up. The owner said this is a great time of year when the trees are changing and it's not overly hot. She said we could even have a campfire in the evenings. It is a little bit east of Eureka Springs so we should have to deal with less tourist traffic. Also she said there is a wonderful bike friendly rest. just a quarter mile away. There is a BYOB outside bar and covered parking for the bikes. You can check out the pictures on www.ridersrestmotel.com. Call Anne for your reservation at (479)253-9815.

ps: Anne is a Brit and said she grew up a mile away from the Triumph factory so she is excited to have us stay there.

I thought I would put up the thread again, where I changed the dates so there is no confusion. It was origianlly this month but now is Oct. 24th-26th.

For those interested in camping, Riders Rest Motel does not offer camping anymore. However, the Kettle Campground is just across the street, and has primitive campsites available for 14 dollars a night per couple. You can make reservations @ 479-253-9100.

p.s. Happy Birthday Paul!

Got you down for an XL shirt, Rick. We don't discriminate against Missourians. I haven't figured out the payment part yet. I will let everyone know.

I just called and made my reservation for a double room from 10/24 - 26. As of today (9/11/08) Ann said that she had three double rooms left to let that weekend.

I will be by myself for the rally, so if anyone would like to share a room, please let me know. Non-smokers only, please (sorry).

Paul,

Here I was saying to Tom and Ryan at Ryan's place last Saturday, "Well the Arkansas Rally should be in full swing."

Let me know via PM if a radical change is made. I'll edit the first post...Like I just did. Hum, October...

I don't mean to brag or anything, but the room I reserved is the 'Steve McQueen' room. How cool is THAT???
