Does anyone have extra lighting on the back of their bike, and if so, what kind; and where did you mount them???
I work the grave yard shift and commute with my BA., 25 miles each way. In the winter, It's all in the dark and that one tail light doesn't give me much confidence of being seen. I've been looking at LED's but haven't been able to decide which way to go because I don't want them to look like he** hanging on somewhere. I used Moto Lights tm., on the front, and after a some light fabrication,(no pun intended) they look like they came on the bike. I'm looking for a similar CLEAN install on the back that is as effective. Not looking to show off, just don't mind being seen.

I mounted LED stop and running lights and separate turn signals to the back of my Leather Lyke hard bags. The stock tail light has a bulb that flashes when the brakes are applied but I tried to eliminate a single point of failure(impossible) and let the LEDS work in case the bulb failed. Anyway I really like the LEDS. I posted pictures about a year ago and they may still be on the PhotoPost. If not, I could repost them if you want.

I use LED license plate frame from Back Off and also added reflective tape to the back of the bike - on the saddlebags. http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycles/stickers-decals/motorcycle-reflective-tape-kit.htm - It shows up pretty good for me. Not a lot of other good mounting places. Also consider reflective on your head and back.

Pharmboy, I bought one of these off of another member and really like it. The LEDs were wired up to the brake light. Laydown License Frame

Mailman, Moto Lights are a brand of add on halogen head lights that mount down on the fork legs. I mounted mine on the fender brace right behind the fork leg so they just peek out around it. What a difference they make, not only can I see better, but I can tell I’m being seen. Just google motolight.com and check them out. I talked with them this afternoon and they just got the package I sent them with pictures of how I did the install. They should be on their sight in a couple of weeks. They have a S.M., with their caliper mounts on there now, but my T.A., only has one cal. so I had to figure out how to make them look like there supposed to be there.

Take a look at this site. Scroll down to the "Dynamic Clusters". They function as running, brake and turnsignal lights. They might fit the bill. http://www.customdynamics.com/motorcycle_led_bulbs.htm#Genesis_LED_Clusters_ Should fit in your old turnsignal holders.

Gregger, looks like these guys might have something. I'll have to get into the turn signal and see if I can change the socket out for an 1157, socket. Then I can rewire them for running and turn signal lights, with nothing else added to the bike. That will be pretty slick. I'll let y'all know if it works out, and thanks for the help.

I don't think you will have to change the socket if you use the Dynamic Clusters. They come with an 1156 or 7507 socket with extra wires for the other functions. Just plug into your socket and run the wires down the stems to your main rear light and tie in.
