I just bought a set of new signals from Brent @ newspeedmaster, Hallogen Kellermen's to be exact. At the same time I bobbed the rear fender and installed a side-mounted brake light. When I hooked up the new indicators the rate at which the relay operated the signals was quite fast. The info that comes with the indicators says that I should install a 10 ohm/15 watt resistor in parallel for each signal. That is a huge resistor! Has anyone else had this issue, and if so what happened? Any input would be awesome!

How about using a different flasher relay instead?

Who has a part number for the flasher relay. I use to have it but can't seem to find it. I know that NAPA has them.

I have the same signals with the same problem, even with the suggested resistor installed. Haven't gotten around to fixin' it yet. Doesn't bother me enough I guess. Do keep an eye on them though, i've had two lenses disappear without reason!

I found a site that has a relay for this purpose listed, I wonder if I can pick up something like this at NAPA. Does anyone know if I need this relay for only the rear signals or would the relay operate the front and rear. In the mean time I imagine that using the turn signals at this speed can't be healthy? Any input on this would be great. Here's the link http://www.spieglerusa.com/cfm/kellermann.cfm?category=M1000SP

If you get a flasher that is made for LEDs, yes it will work fro both front and rear turn isignals even if only the front or rear are LEDs. That turn signal relat at Kelleman sure is awefully expensive. Just get the one from SuperBrightLEDs.com. It is a direct replacement for the stock flasher. And then, if you decide to go with LEDs, both front and rear you can just pull the indicator bulb from the dash to avoid the hazzard light effect. Sandmann had also posted some directions about building a diode thing to also prevent the hazard light effect but I cant seem to find it right now. Soren

Do you know if I need a two or three pin relay? Superbrightleds.com sells both. I think I'm gonna go that route, just need to know which to grab. Thanks!

just my 2 cents worth but,, I have LED's at all 4 corners and I like them flashing fast.. To me it is unusual and grabs a drivers attn a little quicker.
Dont like what you see??? Big red X in the top right of your screen will fix it!

That makes sense Matt, unfortunately in some places it is illegal.

Can anyone tell me where the indicator relay is located? I looked in the headlight bucket and just under the seat...maybe I'm just not seeing it.
