Shield?
Bags?
I was going to sell my 2005 BA (until this great board intervened) ~~ I was asking $5250 and would of gotten it but I pulled the ad. I had 5200 miles at the time. Just a number to compare your price to.

"no other bike. The truth is my wife and I just had a baby 8 months ago " This is a familiar story to many of us geezers here, take care of that family and ride when you can, best of luck.

To be honest I've been looking for a BA for the wife and there just aren't many for sale in New England right now. Last fall I would say your way too high. But with the nice weather and high gas prices I would say its about right. You don't give a hefty BA.com discount do ya?

Well guess you could do what a lot of us here did. Sell the bike wait for the kids to grow up. Then get another one. Or you could just store it for 20 yrs. And have a true classic when you start riding again.
The percentage you're paying is too high-priced
While you're living beyond all your means
And the man in the suit has just bought a new car
From the profit he's made on your dreams

Kelly Blue book high retail for an 02' BA is $4800. So anything around that would be good.

i guess that means you will be selling your car, and you wont be doing anymore walking on sidewalks(watch out for that bus) and you probably souldnt spend to much time out in public anywhere becuase there are alot of kooks out there shooting people in places like mcdonalds. you might want to think about getting a job that you can do from your home. are you afraid to live or afraid to die???? i know you have to do what is right for you but selling my bikes because i had kids was never an option. my wife and i went round that tree and i ended up keeping my bikes, to date things have been fine, my 32 yr old daughter was just in a life threating accident on a bike and she has no children, i ask her if she was done rideing, she said "are you kidding, ****** happens, i will quit rideing as a passenger but i wont quit rideing". dont be one of those guys that in 20yr looks back and sez i shoulda. do what you gotta do but look at what it is that you are afraid of first and the real reason you would not ever ride again, i say never because at your age if you quit now your done
ENJOY!!!!! NEWT!!!!!

Sell the new new driving lights in box and clock in box? seperate from the sickle.
I paid $3250 for an Cardinal Red prefire back in July 31 2007 with 15,418 miles. It now has 28500 miles on it...Hang in there. Get what you need for it or keep it. Like Newt says, don't do anything you would regret. If you can get 5K firm for it, sell it! Regarding the sceptres, could you take those off and reinstall the stockers? If so then sell the sceptres separate as well. On fleabay you could get about 6 or 7 c notes for the new driving lights in box and clock in box and the sceptres....Keep your sickle, sell the goodies, then use the money for your nursery!?.

I hear that line of thinking fairly often... I dont get it..I would never give up riden. I love it to much and its part of who i am. If thats the way i go out , then so beit. I can think of many other ways much worse than that when leaving this world. Doesnt mean i dont love my family and want to be here for them. I agree with Newt, you might as well lock your self in a closet, theres alot of thinks that can happen to you out in the world. What ever you do , good luck

I agree with Lowey, I have 2 kids 5yr old boy and a 3yr old girl and a nice relaxing ride comes in perfect once in a while, specially during the "terrible 2" its called like that for a reason.

Just load up on life insurance if that's what you're worried about!

Keep it if you can afford to. You'll regret selling as the blue book price is depressing and insulting. I've done 32,000 miles on my America and the thing is indestrctible! Will last for years to come. Keep it and take it around the block once a week. When the kiddo gets older you'll start riding again.
