I bought some pants from RideGear about a month ago. They fit me fine except that the knee armor hung down on my shin, didnt cover my knees at all. Called them up, got an RMA, no problem. Sent the pants back with all the tags, packing, labels, etc. That was a month ago. Still no refund.
What really bugs me though is that I can't get ahold of them to see if they even got the pants back. Their customer service line usually doesn't bother putting you on hold, just tells you to leave a message at the tone, then hangs up on you. Yep, no tone, no message.
I sent them an email and got an automated reply. They gave me a "case number" and said they'd look into it. A week goes by, I send another email, similar reply. They didn't even bother to reply to my third email.
Ok, so I'll open a complaint with PayPal. I spend 15 minutes filling out their forms and typing up my account of what happened, hit "send" and instantly get a reply saying "Sorry, we don't handle this type of problem". Makes me wonder what type of problem they will help you with, if any.
So, I guess I just sit and wait. I keep trying RideGear's phone, but so far no success.

Why not? All these other vendors get complained about and nothing gets deleted. When it took the unnamed one a year and a half just to get me a refund. If these posts stand mine should too and I am definately not the only one here that thinks so.

Then start a(nother) thread about your experience. Stop polluting threads about other vendors.

There is a helmet company in CA that still owes me a helmet or my money. I went through Google checkout and it didn't work nearly as well as paypal. I have been burned once through paypal(on a bad ebay seller), and they will get your refund eventually. I got 20 bucks right off and when the woman started up a new acct a year later, paypal got me the other 100 bucks.

Then start a thread and let all who want to chime it. Furthermore, unless you (or any other) then have more problems with Brent or his service, the thread should eventually pass into 'ancient history' as every other thread does.
If you don't want to do this, then your tirades in un-related threads will continue to be called into question and/or deleted.
Understood?

Call anything you want into question, I don't care I know what happened and I have tried to post about it before and it gets deleted. There has been no fair say and I highly doubt there would be. I will make mention when I feel it appropriate if you don't like it delete it. The same has been done by others in other threads so unless the rules apply to everyone about every subject it is again unfair and I won't be singled out for special rules.

Even if I made the tread I still wouldn't limit it to just that if something struck a cord with me. It will never be out of my system because it doesn't sit well with me and never will. It probably wouldn't have gotten under my skin the way it has if my early posts about it had been left alone but that has been so ground into me now I just get mad every time I think about it. Not only were my earlier posts deleted but things were typed into there as if I had said it. I have no wish to highjack threads like is happening here. If that certain mod had just left it alone and given me my fair say in the first place I would probably be past it now and not said any more but that time has now long since passed. I can't say how long I'll be urked by it but for now I am. Just a thread won't get me over it as you say.

Another company to be cautious of is ridersdiscount.com. I bought my wife a jacket and when it didn't look a thing like the picture I learned they would not give a refund, only exchange. The exchange has been very frustrating as you can only do it over the phone or e-mail, and they usually don't answer the phone, you have to leave a message, or they don't respond to e-mails. They have been out of stock of all the replacement jackets my wife has picked. This has gone on for weeks.

Update on my RideGear experience: I finally got an email back from them in which they actually addressed me by name. They said that PayPal has been slow in getting refunds to customers, but they (RideGear) have put me on a "priority" list.
So, I'm still steamed, but at least I got a reply. Oh, and I gave up on trying to talk to PayPal for now. Best wait-time I ever got on their customer service line was 15 minutes.

Dog, for what it's worth i sympathise with you... i have no idea about your particular gripe but fairness appears to be the main sticking point. If profanities or libel weren't used and you only stated facts (that could be proved) and the post was still deleted then i too would be pretty miffed to say the least...
I'm quite surprised that others are quick to shout you down on this matter... if you've been singled out or a particular vendor is being given priority treatment then my personal opinion is that something isn't right..
C'mon guys fairness is the name of the game here...
