I know there's plenty of guitarists in our community. So I'm soliciting some input ...... I'm thinking about placing an offer on this: California Series StratocasterI'm thinking $875 is asking too much and want to try offering $600. Am I way off? I'm a Gibson guy (own a '71 ES335TD), but looking to buy a decent Fender Strat for a little change of pace without breaking the bank. Opinions? Thanks, Tom

That's a nice strat, but you're right that the asking price is too high. $600 would be a good buy. On the other hand that 335 is appreciating every day...

I'm liking this one a little more. Humbucker in the bridge position. Thinking about setting up a snipe. Am I wrong to fixate on the California Series? Help me out Fender folks. They seem a good buy for a US made, Mexican finished, US assembled and inspected Fender. Tom

Depends on the price, I have on old Les Paul and an Old Strat, 2 different guitars but love them both. Before I would pay $600 for the Califirnia Strat I would try one of the new American Standards. Just my opinion though. JT Speedmaster

Before buying see if you can confirm that the serial Number is in intact...the guitar would be wrthless and probably stolen if not.
(my son got burned like that).
