Was wondering if anyone has had to adjust their timing / cam chain - mine seems to be makin noise - as in clicking. The noise goes away after a minute or three once the engine warms up. Thinkin about a trip up the Alcan, don't want any surprises (the only Triumph shop is in Anchorage, 2500 miles from my house...).

Had the valves checked and adjusted recently, the noise preceeded the service and is still there...

I've got 13,000+ miles on the bike. Is the noise a normal engine annoyant or?
Thanks!

There is no adjustment, it has self-tensioner. Is it possible you have a small exhaust leak at the head that may be closing up as the engine warms up? Can't imagine too many noises that go away or quieten down as temperature rises.

you can tighten up the chain manually, but it is automatic and i would not suggest doing it as a guy with a bonnie on the rat site broke his chain for having it to tight. these are noisy motors and you will get used to it
