I probably know the answer but I figured someone else may not. I noticed over the weekend that my right pipe has more golden and blue colors than my left pipe. I know I can use simichcrome or blueaway to clean it up, but how can i stop it from happening? I am thinking that my right carb needs adjusting as it may be too rich or too lean. Since i don't know how to do this, I may just need an "UNCLE" to help me. Any advice?

have you removed the air injection yet?
mine also started changing colors unevenly. not so bad since i removed the AI. not sure why it was uneven either. obviously one side is hotter than the other but i don't know why.

It might be that the right side is running a little lean. This can also be caused by the carbs being out of balance so that the right side is pulling harder than the left. A small air leak where the pipe attaches to the head could also do that.

Hey Ron, You need to post more info on your set-up so accurate advice can be given. AI, jets, snorkles, pipes, filter????????????? I'm going to VT this weekend for the BTB, But will be willing to help you when I get back. Maybe a reason for a CT Tech Day!

Hey Charlie if you do a CT tech day I just may be able to make an appearence this time. I also have blueing on right side but not left. I could be way off the mark but the blueing seemed to happen when I put 87 octane gas in it. Went back to 93 and the blueing stopped(its still there but hhas not progressed). Stock set-up other than TORS and AI out.Benny bring your balancer.
The bash is out of the question for me. I have to attend a 4 hour breifing on the 31st(the army does nothing fast). For families of returning Iraq vets. My son and about 80 other CT reservists are coming home some time in June.

Yeah, we'll do another Tech Day! I'll work out the details after the Bennington Bash. T-minus 14 hours until departure. Gonna be a long night, Uncle Charlie
