Has anyone put one on a speedmaster? Are there any major mods needed?
Ideally I want to switch to a wire front but don't want to lose the brakes. Is it possible to have the wheel re-laced to a larger size, say 19 or 21?
or is there someone out there selling aftermarket wheels that I'm looking for?

MY understanding is that the TBS front hub will replace the BA or Speedmaster front.
And yes, you can lace any size rim to the hub. You may have clearance problems if you go too big though.

thanks bill, haha, clearance problems shouldn't be an issue with the front fender sitting in a corner of my house.

On my speedie I left my TBS front wheel stock and mounted a 140/80x17" tire... Fits straight on with old spacer and speedo drive, just had to cut out the indents on the fork brace/guard mount to get that fat sucker in there... I wanted the fat front look...

very cool, I'm torn between both looks.
I guess my first step is to find a TBS wheel and then take it from there.
Thanks everyone!

Can someone explain to me what a TBS is? Also when fitting this wheel is it a speedmaster left fork leg you need to get to hold the left brake caliper. My bike is moving really well now and could do with some better front braking! Thanks

TBS stands for Triumph Thunderbird Sport and yes you would need the leg from the speedmaster and right caliper and also upgrade the master cylinder..

And it works out cheaper to get the upgrade kit. I asked as I have a spare caliper and was going to get floating discs when I upgrade the 06, but even then it would have worked out at twice the price for the other bits than the kit...

Actually the cheapest route is to find a Speedmaster owner who wants to swap parts. But they are almost as rare (or perhaps even more rare) as finding the TBS wheel in the first place.
