I bought a headlight like this from the states to fit on my 06 Speedy.

The light has a red & yellow wire coming out of it, but can't see where they would wire in on my bike as the loom seems to have six wires going into three locations on the headlight.

Has anyone else tried to do this or can anyone offer me any advice on wiring it up please?

Don't know exactly what you are talking about. However, here in the states one pair of wires is for a small parking light bulb in the headlight housing (that bulb housing/connector shorted out soon after purchasing the bike and I just disconneced it permanently).

You'll have to get a battery and test the light. I betting the shell is ground and one color is low beam and one color is high. I think the blue/red is low and the blue/white is hi in the headlight connector. You'd have to attach the ground wire to the shell if that's the case with your new light. The only other wires I know of are that silly "parking" light. (but I haven't looked recently).

In all likelihood, red is high beam and yellow is low. On the original light, high is blue/yellow stripe and low is blue/red stripe. You might have to connect the shell to the earth (ground) wire which is black.
