Has anyone replaced the seat that came on the America with one that is more comfortable on long trips? I just got in from a 2hr ride on the interstate and that seat is the most uncomfortable thing I have ever sat on.

Do a search for Corbin in here and I think you'll find a thread where people posted a LOT of opinions, on other seats as well as the Corbin. Maybe it was in the accessories section. I personally love my Corbin...

got corbin driver and passenger seats with sissy bar pad, feels great to me and she loves it so everyone is happy and comfortable. a little pricey but a good quality product and they back it up. brent has some seats now, no expierence with them but if he is selling it then they have to be pretty good

Corbin is the way to go. Not only is their product excellent, I found their customer service to be just as good.

LOVE my Corbin! It's the best money I've spent on my BA since I bought her!

I have the Corbin also and love it. However, there are several excellent seat makers out there that are less money. Mustang is one. You can also have an upholsterer do it for you locally I'm sure. I just didn't want to wait so i went the Corbin route. Do a Google for custom motorcycle seats and you will find tons of saddle makers out there. But with most of them, you will need to send them your seat, wheras Corbin makes the complete seat and pan from scratch. Food for thought. Or, buy a good priced used seat and send that one out for retrofitting?
A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice.

I was considering the low profile flame engraved seat from Brent. Any idea on how comfortable the seat is on long rides? I just think the seat will look fan-freaking-tastic with my paint job. Any comments suggestions are welcome.

The seat from Brent is great (I have the flame-free version), but it isn't really that good for long trips. 50-75 miles and my butt is ready for a break. I like the way it sits and it is very comfortable, but it simply is not a long distance seat. There just isn't any room to move around on it. Quality is excellent and as you said it looks really good on our bikes.

Mustang is one.
Hey Pat, I contacted Mustang recently, and the guy on the other end of the line rudely told me they don't make seats for "our model of bike". Was he mistaken? I told him that if he was looking for me, he'd see me over at Corbin.

If I remember correctly they told the same to someone else on the forum here, that they don't plan on making one for our model.
