hello good people, Ive hit 6000 on my pony and have had some metal rubbing sounds goin on with the back wheel, read a post where several folks stated that they too had to replace the back pads at around 6000 miles. Im no wrench but wanta change em out myself. was told to find ceramic pads. I have no idea, sooo can someone tell me where I could get GOOD pads at a reasonable price. Any help will be more than welcome, Thanks guys, Steve

You're gonna get moved to Misc . , get you a set of semimetallics from one of our fine vendors here . Ceramics are gonna eat yer rotor . Look on Vendors forum , Fast Eddy , Brent , ect .

I got mine through brent. (newspeedmaster.com)

I used Dinqua's write up on changing out the rear pads.
The man should write his OWN maint manual. The write up is SSSOOOOO idiot proof!

Got my pads from Fast Eddy, best price I could find and excellent service, Eddy goes the extra mile. You don't want ceramic pads, the pads last longer but they kill your rotor. Semi-metalic is what you want, they last longer than organic and are not as hard on the rotor. Personally I would rather buy an extra set of pads or 2 than have to buy a rotor too soon.

If you had metal on metal, you need to check your rotor...
The minimum thickness is stamped into it, and any major grooves are a no-no.
Get some sintered pads from Brent or Eddie or EBC or whoever and ride on.....
