First, what can be used to dress the tires? Most of what I see is specifically not for motorcycles. Second, will power washing the chain cause problems?

Tire wet is usually silicone based and not always a good idea to get all over your tires , but if applied in moderation and on the sidewall portion , NOT the contact area , it's OK . I wouldn't concentrate a pressure wash spray too directly on the chain , you will drive water and grit into the seals .
IMHO , there's not really enough exposed area on the tires to justify putting tire wet on 'em . If you're not in the twisties , I suppose it's OK .

What ever you end up useing, spray it on the rag first and not directly on the tire. That way you only get it on the area you want and not on the contact surface and you won't get on .......THE BRAKES...Yikes!!!!
