I know ~~ Speed Racer isn't exactly a "Mothers' Day movie" ~~ but my wife was OK with it so we went. We didn't see it in IMAX ~~ way too expensive. The movie was fun ~~ almost as much fun as I remember the cartoon being. All in all, I was happy to see it once, but I don't think it will become one of those movies I see over and over again ~~ like Hoosiers.

This has been Rev Rob with your movie review.

Carry on.

A friend of mine went to see it and said it was like "pouring Rainbows into your eyes"

My wife wanted to see "Forgetting Sarah Marshall", I really would have rather seen speed racer or even Iron Man. But being Mothers day and our Anniversary I let her pick. Now Im trying to forget Sara Marshall

I had a friend that went to see it and said that Speed Racer was so horrid that it rated as an atrocity on film. Each to their own I guess.

I liked it. Great cast, predictable story, wholesome family values, evil capitalist pigdogs, and car-aaaaazee special effects. It truly is live action anime. It certainly isn't for everyone, but then again, what is?

What were you expecting from Hollywood?

It did have good family values, the only thing missing was someone saying that those cars were destroying the environment
