Correct torque on fasteners is not something to be taken lightly.. your "tight enough" may not be, and overtightened can be just as bad.. don't take chances, take the time to do it right. If you're going to do your own maintenance and repairs then by all means buy a manual.. lots of good info and well worth the bucks.
