I finally saw the 08 Americas and Speedmasters. Well after seeing them up close.... it wasn't bad as I thought it would be. I still like the old tank better. Now I did not care for the new design with the solid colors but the two tone actually grew on me the more I looked at it, especially the pacific blue and alumimum silver.

I'm kinda the same way but I wish they had made the tank a little thicker. It seems out of proportion being so wide yet so thin. I like the two-tones but the first one to catch my eye was a solid color black one with a lot of glitter in the paint... looked really nice. I still like the old tanks best and am thinking about ways to make one of those a couple inces wider on each side to increase the capacity without ruining the design.
Its more fun to be ridin'! I'm still ridin

Thats kind of how I felt, they could have made it a little taller and deeper to counter the wide look of the tank

I actually had someone the other day tell me that they like the new tank over the old one. However, they are not current Triumph owners though.

It was bad enough until I saw one from head-on. Yuk!

I looked at the new tank a few weeks ago and I dont care for it at all,it just killed the looks of the bike. I prefer the old style tank thats what made the Triumph different from all the rest...

Not only that, it holds MORE gas!!! I don't like the look as much as the old tank, but the extra capacity makes up the difference.

I do prefer the old style but to be honest I do wish our bikes have more range
