OK I'm putting a screen on...I hate the thought of it but needs must and all that...
Thing is I can't figure out where the bottom brackets actually bolt to. Can some one help me here?? It didn't come with any bolts and when I questioned someone else - face to face - I was told it used the bolts already on the bike. Just the bolts I figured it would use, don't wanna go back in when the brackets are somewhere near...
A pic would be great....
Oh yeah it's a Triumph Summer Screen

Gina, Im not 100% sure I installed Karens Summer Screen correctly as I bought it used and had no instructions but here are pics of how I did it. Mind you...the bottom bolts were not existing. I beleive I went out and purchased a couple stainless steele bolts, washers and nuts to make it all work.

Hi Gina, just sold a summer screen this week. It's real easy to install, the two round arms that come down from the middle of the screen and are threaded at the end attach to the two brackets that you attach to the bolts that hold the the wire cable retainers underneath the top yolk, the brackets are shaped to fit the fork covers. The doglegged flat struts fit on the bottom yolk, there are two pre drilled holes for the nut and bolt, that should have been provided. I'll give you a couple at dent, if you hav'nt sorted before then.

It's sorted. I can't complain about the bolts not being with it...I only paid £20 for it....

Z, something doesn't look right. I've taken my Summer Screen (now Clearview) off and put back a number of times. The lower brackets should block the screws with the flat chrome part facing frontwards. I can't figure how yours are turned sideways and fitting the screen. I would loosen all four mounting brackets where they attach to the bike, loosen the screen mounting screws and try to see if you can rotate the bottom brackets to where the flat part is facing out with the screw in back. This would push the screen out a bit and should leave spaces whre the shroud covers and headlight are.
You should not tighten the screws until it is all lined up and even. It also could be that your upper brackets need to rotate for proper positioning. I'd post a picture but I don't have an easy way to do that.

Now I'm confused, I too had bought one used with out any instructions. I ended up mounting the way Z's is where as the bends in the brackets just miss the headlight. Now I just went down and tore it all apart and flipped the brackets left to right so the bracket bends just miss the fork. but it seem to fit better the way I had it so I put them back the way they were. I also have the Clearview shield mounted. Who has instructions? Phil
