I was going to save this thread for a rainy day, but I'm curious. I've never had to push my TBA for any distance, but like many of you I have had to push a bike for a myriad of reasons (usually running out of gas). In your experience, what was the worst bike to push? For me, it was the BMW R 75.
I would be unstoppable if not for law enforcement and physics.

The pan I had as a kid. Was someone elses worn out junk and seems it was broken more than it was running. Can't knock the pan in general though my frind used to have several and they were all very dependable mine was just junk. I was a kid and didn't know any better when I bought it.

Ohhhhh, this brings back memories. I ran out of gas on a 1983 KZ1100 Spectre. I had to push it about 2 miles to the nearest gas station. No way I was going to leave it sit. Totally flat road (thank you South Florida). When I got to the gas station, I had to sit down and rest for 10 minutes before I had enough strength back to pump the gas. It kinda makes you appreciate your engine.

Got lucky with my 66 TR6C chopper. was running out of gas on 81 north. was getting low around Lennox or Lennoxville I forget what one, I get them confused. Well got off the exit there and there was nothing and made the mistake of riding around in hopes of finding a station instead of getting back on the highway. Made it back to the highway and ran out. I managed to coast to the next exit and almost to the gas station, it was almost all down hill. Did the same with a van coming back from TN but that trip and everything that went wrong is a whole several paragraph post in itself.

IF carrying a bike counts, then it would have been my TREK 7000 after doing and 'endo' into a pile of jagged rocks during my first and last foray into mountain biking. I was sooooooooooo lucky that I didn't break anything other than the bike. It was immediately determined that mountain biking would be best left to those who enjoyed almost killing themselves...

Well Cynthia, there WAS this one time I borrowed Buzz Walneck's ride and ran out of gas just outside of Bakersfield one hot summer day....
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

If something like that happened to me, I'd just move there (you know the Bakersfield motto Sun, Fun, Stay, Play).

Touch wood I've been lucky with my bikes, I've had a couple of flat tyres but have been able to get home with the 'tyre weld'. So I suppose it would have to be my Dad's SuperDream, I was only 14 yrs and he let me push it 2 mile home...and also got stopped by the police because they thought I'd nicked it... Thanks Dad!

I have two -
My cherished Yamaha R5C, which got pushed most frequently. Usually fouled plugs, or burnt points - Both a direct result of my lack of routine and lack of mechanical expertise.
My Triumph (only once) Just packed and ready to depart the NY Rally, I found my battery dead. The bike was on a lower level of a parking garage, I was nearly late for meeting my riding partners, I made one attempt and didn't get enough elevation/speed to catch it in gear. On the second try, I took it a floor and a half up. Needless to say - it was an up-hill battle for sure. (and they wonder why I fell asleep on the way home...)

I now realise he'd taken it as an excuse to nip off for a couple of pints, bless him!

Has to be an R90/S with a flat tire. Only pushed it about 1/2 mile to get it off the freeway, but it was a harder push than the time the long bolt that holds the ignition cam and advance assembly broke on my Ironhead Sportster and I had to push it a couple miles. After that, I kept a spare bolt in my toolkit and never needed it.

Flat twins are a bugger to push. I had the bruised up legs to prove it! I can imagine that a flat tire would only make it worse!

In '88 I was in college in Bozeman and my car died. My roommate loaned me his 650 Suzuki Savage. First time I ever rode a bike. Dumped it on some gravel at about 5mph. I was completely unharmed and the bike only had a broken mirro but it wouldn't start. Had to push it about a half-mile back to the apartment. He wasn't happy.

99 Honda Shadow Spirit 1100, ran out of gas.Classic story she started to sputter I reached down to go to reserve tank found out I was already there. Not that the bike was real heavy just did not seem to balance well and the mini ape hangers made it ackward.
