Do you ever find yourself talking to your motorcycle and what do you say?

Does it answer back?

Usually when I talk to vehicles I'm not saying something nice. To this point the BA has not merited a talking to.

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

I talk to all my vehicles when they break down or refuse to start. But i could not repeat what i say to them here.

So far, i have never had the need to talk to Bonnie.

I do that. If it answers, I either go in and get a beer or toss the one I already have, depending on the situation.

I used to work with a guy who would argue with his talking car....

Car: "Door is a jar."
Him: "No it's not! How could a door be a jar? A lid maybe, but not a jar!"

I speak to my bike. I tell it how beutiful it is. How much I love it. And I pet on him (I've even hugged him a few times) . . . Well, it's better to be known as the crazy bike lady than the crazy cat lady. . . . isn't it??

That depends. If you start throwing motorcycles at passing strangers, then it might be better to be the cat lady.

I dont talk to my motorycle yet. I am not that senile yet. I do give it longing glances and I even walk out to the parking lot just to look at her sometimes and still wonder at the amazing beauty of the Black Speedmaster. Especially when she's parked next to a coupla Harleys and a Yamahammer.

I expect if she ever leaves me on the side of the road my vocabulary as far as verbal expression to her will liven up considerably.

To repeat what I said when the igniter went would cause the mighty AUP Hammer of Smiting to come crashing down.
The rest of the time it's mostly the "Hi, howya doin'" kinda thing.

Like others, I've screamed at the bike. Normally when I strip something. I'm good at stripping things on this bike for some reason. Never had that problem on the Norton or Meriden.

Bike answers me in what sounds like Gaelic. I have no idea what it's saying. Could just be valve noise.

Regards,

Tom

My Speedmaster speaks for itself, thanks. Only whackos speak to their bikes. I speak only to my car. And my dog. And myself.

Nope! I don't talk to my bike. But, I admit I DO talk about it behind it's back....to other PEOPLE!!! And NO, I didn't give the friggin' bike a name EITHER!!!

Wait a minute, I take that back! There WAS that one time the battery died on me! And so, yeah...maybe I have!

(but it was the Yuasa Company I was "talkin' to" and not my bike)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I do that too, no better place to clear your head and think.

I do that on or off the bike; hence the bluetooth headset (fools them all)!

Next question: do you ever hold your cell phone up to your ear while driving so you can talk to yourself and not look like a complete loon?

I sing to my motorcycle and she keeps the rhythm. Mostly old standards, simple songs.
