Many of you have seen this bike when I posted pics of it at the Smokeout West. Now on ebay is another bike made by Choppahead using a new Hinckley twin.

It's a hardtail. The controls are the least of your worries if you're looking for comfort.

The mid controls are so your legs can act as shock absorbers ~~so that when ya hit that bump, you can "get up" a little, so your spine isn't hammered through the top of your skull~~ask me how i OOOUCH!!, know

I don't know about that. I have a low profile seat, and my rear pegs in the lower hanger holes. It's a similar position to the bike in the pic, except my pegs are a little further back. I ride with my feet on the rear pegs for most of my long distance riding. It's very comfortable.

well cruising and shifting and braking are 2 different things...when your legs are back a bit you can lean forward, but having the pegs a little forward a bit you gotta lean over your knees to reach the handle bars. It just looks like 6' tall guy would be riding a minibike with his knees in his chest or something

Yeah, that makes sense. I guess you would just need to stretch real good before hopping on... It looks cool, regardless.

Its pretty cool, i like the one on top better..forward controls too, but bonne kneepads on a sportster tank is kinda stupid.
It looks like they tried harder on the black and brown one vs. the one on ebay. Maybe the guy paid more Its funny that it has stock grips and hand controls

These guys are good friends of mine. Great guys building awesome bikes. But I've got to agree that most of the custom choppers and bobbers I see in mags like the Horse sure do look uncomfortable. Maybe I'm gettin' old but it looks like an evasive maneuver is generally out of the question. At any rate cool always comes at a cost.

What about those tiny air filters? Look a tad restricted.Better than the stock cardboard one from the factory though.

Youre definately right, it does come at a cost...but do you think mid controls are cooler than forward controls? Theyre the same thing as far as looks. Its one thing to suffer for the look, but to suffer from poor design is a different story.
Im in the enginnering field, poor design is a pet peeve..ahha

Nope, those are the whole filter, I ran the same thing on my chopper for years.I cut a hole in the back of it to let more air in and put mesh over it.

Exactly. You cannot stand up with forward controls over railroad tracks, potholes, road strips, frost heaves, cracks, debris, you get the picture. Plus, they look very cool. I love that bike. Thought the brown was nice, but that small Wassell tank really makes it a chopper. Those Choppahead guys do nice work.

Rode a hardtail for many years with forward controls, love that bike. Run 10PSI in the rear tire and your good. Don't need no sissy mid pegs!

I see they didn't use that front mount on either bike. They should if for no reason but to steady things.
