Does anyone have suggestions or recommendations on equipment to help kids ride along. My youngest is 8 and reaches the footpegs fine. Just want to give him something secure to hold on to. I have seen different things from a belt with handles to a unit that strapps the bugger to you. Any suggestions?

If his arms aren't long enough to reach all the way around your waist, limit his rides to very short trips.
Otherwise get a sidecar.

Try this: http://www.buddybelt.com/

Seems that the grab handles could be located a bit more towards the front of the driver to keep the passenger closer but maybe they can be modified or adjusted.

The buddy belt idea looks good. Wish I had seen that before when my son use to ride with me.

One other tip though is that most kids can get a little bit bored, so stop about every 45 minutes or so for him/her to stretch their legs.

one of my X GFs had a 5 year old I used to take out on my chopper. I used to hook a bungee to his shoe laces on one side over my lap the back to his laces on the other side. He would hold onto my sides. He loved it and we rode all over.

Thanks for the suggestions. The duct tape worked for awile but the buddy belt may be a better solution. I had also seen this from Canada -http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-other-Motorcycle-Childs-Riding-Belt-harness-W0QQAdIdZ42960925 - looks bulky.
