I've never in the past had a existing hub relaced to a new rim, I've had new spokes put on or complete assemblies so I'm wondering if there is anything I should be on the look out for. I've come across several good deals on 21 inch rims both steel and aluminium that are 36 spoke rims. I would not attempt the conversion myself but would take it in to have my front hub fitted to it. I guess I am asking is there a particular rim that I should look for? As long as the rim is a 36 hole rim will anything work and spokes be attainable with no probs? I just don't want to get what I think is a fantastic deal on a rim then take it to a guy to have it laced to my hub only to find out that it can only be done by having custom made spokes that are only produced in limited batches by Indonesian monks during a leap year. Such is my luck mostly.....

Lee's not been around too much lately so it seems, remember a thread where he was speaking of lots of probs as of late. Hopefully he is out partaking of all the good things!
If memory serves, didn't Lee buy his front wheel as a complete kit from the mysterious Texas company that was offering custom parts for our bikes. I've googled repeatedly and can find no trace of them.
Just curious about the rims though... lots of choices. Steel, aluminium, shouldered, non-shouldered, dimpled, no dimples and so on. I really need to get rid of that piece 'o kaka front tire soon and am thinking I might as well go the 21 inch route.

Euroshop? They seemed to dry up and blow away last year sometime. It's a shame. For all the hassle and leg work it takes to figure out what works for our bikes, I probably would have eventually bought at least a set of wheels from them.

Yeah, it was Euro Shop of Waco that I was thinking of. I didn't know they went under. Another one bites the dust.
