Funny there was a time I was a first pager in total posts Big Posters But dang Ive fallen waaay out of the pack. Heck there was a time that I was within a few of Dwight but wow not even in the same class. Here to you big poster guys!!!!!

Yep! You were sure close for a while there alright Chris, but "somehow" just about a year ago(this May 1st to be exact) when a certain old fart Californian RETIRED from his "fantastic airline career", he done passed you like you were standin' still, boy!!!
(word is, he has entirely too much free time on his hands nowdays)

Actually, Chris, the more interesting thing is the number of posts vs. the length of membership. The king post-hoeur, having been here barely more than a year, on that list is #6 and rapidly gaining on #5 and #4, who've been here from the start. You can whine about the conclusion, Ian, but the numbers don't lie.

Good point there, John! However, here's what I'm noticing TODAY especially: I think it might be all YOU PEOPLE posting up a storm around here lately which might be overloading the server and causing this website to be soooooo friggin' SLOW!!!  (it certainly couldn't be me, of course)

Why would I whine about helping lots of people? Blather is only part of my post count. I don't understand everyones preoccupation with post numbers.I personally don't care who posted how many times.

Funny thing is, sometimes I feel like someone has posted many more times than the counter lists, I'll look and see a relatively low number by a user that to me seems a lot more active in the forums.....maybe its just me. I guess length of membership will have something to do with that too. I've only been here since Sept '07, I was on dial up before that, and didn't know about this site. Brent actually told me about it when I was looking for a part. Anyway, I like it here, I think I'll stay, contributing where I can.

I was stuck in 13th place for what seemed like forever, but recently i noticed I have moved up to 12th.
It is my dream to one day be at the top looking down on everyone. (incert King on thrown smiley here)

I would probably be ahead of Phil if I actually pulled the trigger on all the posts I type. I probably cancel a full third of those I start.

I remember sending Dazco a PM apologizing for the dogpile he received for his thread criticizing the "Performance Guide", or whatever it was called back in the early days. It's one thing to disagree with other members, but too often it just becomes a personal attack. It's one of the reasons why I don't post much anymore.

Dwight, check your PMs. If you need to see any proof, just look at Roundy77s post. Dazco wasn't even close to being the jerk that Robert had to deal with. At most you could say Daz was a bit over enthusiastic, but IMO he was just a passionate owner who wanted to get the most out of his bike. AFAIK he didn't try to rip anybody off or make promises he couldn't keep or didn't want to keep.
Also see the recent thread about the Classifieds where a part is promised to somebody, but then sold to the next highest offer. Less than honorable people don't sit well with me, and it doesn't matter if we have some common interest like a motorcycle or not.
