anyone fab their own sissy bar? I would love to see how you fastened it. I have been through 3 incarnations, none really to my liking. Well I loved the last one I did. I had it heated bent and all welded up and mounted when I realized that mounting the bottom to the lower shock bolt and the top to the rear fended strut bolt makes your bike a "rigid."

I'm working on one at the moment. It will probably mount to the fenter mounts. However, I sort of wish I had a rigid frame, since I have a beautiful design that flows up from the axle, through the rear fender mount. But that would make my current live rear end a rigid.

2007 Custom America with BUBs I make my own parts cause I cant afford to buy theirs.

Something like the top shock bolt and the the first fender bolts maybe?

There is NOTHING funny about a swastika, not even just to aggravate people.

I don't know, the swastika wasn't a Natzi thing and is still a religous symbol representing good. I would have to do some searching to find out what religon it is but I think it was an Indian religon (not America Indian) it's a shame most people associate it with Natzis and evil now. history of the swastika more info

Doesn't matter where it came from. I'm pretty sure the Hindus had dibs, but the Nazi propaganda machine ruined the symbol for everybody.

I typed haha refering to what friarjohn typed.

Anyway I think if the ultimate goal is to "pss people off" youd probably get a better reaction with a sign that said "kill whitey" or something negative about people in wheelchairs...(sarcasm fellas) That Nazi crap is old hat

Sorry, my friend. I try to stay clear of these threads. But, "that nazi crap" will never and should never be "old hat". It represents a sick and disgusting time and should be remembered for all time for what it was.

come on now, I know all that. Your sarcasm detector is way off...did you think friarjohn thought the idea was classy?

Im saying the nazi stuff is "old hat" cause its all been done. All the MC clubs wore that junk to "pss people off" its all played out. The people wearing that stuff were labeled idiots years ago.

whats ironic is that alot of people will embrace nazi symbolism but wouldnt dare wear "pro-al queda" stuff...its the same thing....in fact that would tick people off more

Well, ok (sorta)... It's just that people seem to have the natural ability to upset people without much effort. I know, I'm a natural. I see little sense wasting any effort in perfecting that skill since it does no one any good. I'm not one of those PC freaks by any means - I just don't get any joy out of raising the ire of someone else for my own pleasure. Peace, brother. I'm done and crawlin' down from my soap box.

Maybe, trouble is that almost everyone who sees one will associate it and the rider with Nazi scumbags.
