I am trying to see how the steering stem is removed as i want to get the lower yolk powdercoated. It looks like there is a small ring clip in there stopping it from being removed,

Any thoughts

this might help... removing lower yoke

The stem is pressed into the lower yoke. Youll need a press or a machine shop to separate the two.
