Hi, took the afternoon off from work and had a great time riding some real twisty roads with my America. The softer front brake pads and the new Metzler Marathon and Lazertech tires are a great improvement. Cant wait to test her at Gelleråsen Raceway in May. I have a question about oil temperature, got stuck in traffic on my way home and after 45 minutes the oiltemp reached 110 degrees Celsius. How hot is too hot? ( Running Motul 5100 10-40. ) Regards Pikeman59

I'm normally running around 165F to 185F (73C to 85C). It all depends on the outside air temp. When I'm stuck in slow traffic, the temp will get up to 225F (107C). Right around there is when I would pull over and let the bike cool off, by then traffic usually picks back up.

How right you are Bill, which is good since it gets warm in OKC. I just got an oil temperature gage from Brent and I am interested to see how hot things get in mid summer.

Same here with my temp gauge.
